11 -year -old boy shot dead in the park in full daylight: the Minneapolis Police

An 11 -year -old boy was shot dead near a Minneapolis park in broad daylight, police said, and now the investigators urge the public to help them make an arrest.

The shots exploded in Folwell Park around 2 pm on Monday, said Minneapolis police. The witnesses said they saw a car driving through the park and two other cars that led through the adjacent parking lot when the shots sounded, according to the police.

A good Samaritan in his house nearby “heard shouts of help” and found the 11 -year -old out that he suffered a gunshot wound, police said.

The man put the child in his car and began to take him to the hospital, and while along the way, he told an officer, police said.

The officer took the boy out of the car and began saving the efforts, police said. Fire staff, Police and EMS also responded to try to save the 11 -year -old boy, but was declared dead on the scene, police said.

“I can’t emphasize enough how terrible it is to have a 11 -year -old boy shot dead in the middle of the day,” said Minneapolis police chief Brian O’Hara, in a statement.

“We need any person with information to be presented so that we can contribute some sense of justice to this child’s family,” O’Hara said. “We are following each lead, but we need the public’s help to solve this.”
