Train with possible derailments of hazardous materials in Palo Pinto, Texas: officials

On Tuesday, a train that can be transporting hazardous materials is derailing in Palo Palo County, Texas, according to local officials.

The incident occurred around 2 in the afternoon, local time, on a railway bridge in Coalville Road, about two miles east of Gordon, Texas, according to the emergency services of Palo Palo County.

The train was from Union Pacific Railroad, the company confirmed to ABC News. Approximately 35 union pacific cars.

Union Pacific said no one was injured in derailment.

Palo Palo County Emergency Services said there are no cars that flee and that the equipment is on stage, mitigating damage and dangers.

The Palo Palo Fire Department is working to contain a lawn fire on the scene.

Fire officials are “proceeding with caution,” County officials said. “This is being treated as a danger situation.”

The cause of derailment is under investigation.
