Trump Admin Live updates: Trump’s cabinet meets in the White House

President Donald Trump announced that tariffs will begin to be collected on August 1.
In a new publication on social networks, Trump indicated that August 1 is the firm date and that there will be no extensions.
“Tariffs will begin to receive on August 1, 2025,” Trump wrote. “There has been no change on this date, and there will be no changes. In other words, all the money will be overcome and will be paid as of August 1, 2025, extensions will not be granted.”
Its publication on social networks occurs when the President indicated Monday night that the deadline of August 1 is flexible, offering a mixed message to his previous comments.
“No, I would say, firm but not 100% firm if they call and say they would like to do something, in a different way, whether it is open to that. But essentially, it is right now,” Trump said.
Previously, Trump said that all trade agreements were “made.”

“We have talked to everyone we know … I told you. We will make some offers. But for the most part, we will send a letter,” Trump said.
He also pointed out that the time for negotiations is over.
